Life tends to bring you back to your roots. Born on Long Island, NY into a large Italian family, my world revolved around food. Working at the local strip mall pizza joint is where I got my first taste of the world I would enter. After graduating from Johnson and Wales University with a degree in Culinary Arts I began trudging through the kitchens of NYC. First at the Michelin starred Insieme under esteemed Chef Marco Canora where I learned Italian food could be both refined, elegant and new. From there I set sail for Italy where I cooked under luminaries such as Chef Roberto Petza in Sardinia, Pietro Zito in Puglia and various artisans in Sicily. Upon returning to New York I cooked with like-minded locavores at Franny's of Brooklyn under Chef John Adler, then as a sous chef for Michael Toscano. In 2015 I opened Sessanta with Executive Chef Jordan Frosolone as the Chef de Cuisine. Sessanta focused on the cuisine of Sicily where Jordan and I both have a shared heritage. Currently working as a private chef, I have had the opportunity to cook for the likes of Hilary Clinton, Tony Blair, Jamie Foxx, Bon Jovi, Gal Gadot and many others.
I am based in Long Island City, NY with my wife/ high school prom date, Jill.
